Hazy, Lazy Sunday

We had a pretty laid back day today. In the morning we went to church. When we got home, we all took naps. When we awoke, we just chilled. Alegria crawled around and explored...

...and decided she didn't want to wear her hairbow.

Then we noticed that she had soiled her diaper, so Abilehi helped me get her cleaned up. After she was nice and clean, she went back to crawling about!

Alegria enjoyed playing peek-a-boo with Daddy!

And then just kept on crawling around.

Here's Alegria gazing out the back door.

And here she is playing with Abilehi.

Later on in the evening, Cameron took Alegria outside to enjoy the sights and sounds of the outdoors.

And right when we were wanting to get her ready for bed, Alegria decided she wanted to play chess instead! But she made more of a mess than anything else.

Finally, Cameron was able to get Alegria ready for bed.

And that was pretty much our Sunday...laid back and relaxing! :)

Good night!

Gun Show Day

Today we got an early start. We left the house at 9 and went to Fort Hood. Cameron wanted to check out the stables on post. At first, we drove to where the stables were. There happened to be a couple grooming their horse there, and so Cameron spoke to them about boarding a horse at the Fort Hood stables. They directed us to an office building where we could get more information on shots for Cyrus, etc. At that point, Alegria was already tired of her car seat, so while we waited, I let her roam around on my lap. Cameron received a call on his phone, but he was inside, so here I am talking on the phone while Alegria eats the window.

Abilehi and Cameron were able to get Alegria to give the camera a big smile! :)

We also went to the Post Exchange (PX - a shopping "mall" on post) to look for a dog tag chain for Cameron. Alegria had busted his about a day after he arrived here. We couldn't find one right away, so we just left. On the way to the Gun Show, Alegria and Abilehi both fell asleep.

We arrived at the Belton Expo! Center at about 11. Cameron purchased tickets for all of us (save the baby), and we went in to the Gun Show.

There were tons and tons of guns for sale at the Gun Show! I even saw a small, cute, red one! Cameron was looking for a scope for his M4, so while he talked to salespeople about their scopes, Abilehi, Alegria and I checked the rest of the place out. There were jewelry booths as well as purse booths and sunglasses booths! That was the most exciting for me! They also had a few essential oil booths, metal works booths, jerkey and meat processing booths, and a Shamwow booth. Abilehi enjoyed petting a puppy that a couple had brought in with them. Finally, we left. Cameron had gotten a couple of business cards and said that because he's not even going to be in the area yet, he'd wait to see about purchasing a scope.

When we got home, Cameron was so excited about all of the guns, though, that he brought out his M4 to do a deep cleaning on it. :) He was shy about me getting a picture of him at first...

So I just got whatever shots I could...

And he thought that once we had a baby he'd never be a subject in another one of my pictures!!! How wrong he was!!! :)

He wanted me to get a picture of him and Alegria as he held his M4...

In this one he's "mean." (Though Alegria doesn't think he's very mean at all!)

In this one he's crazy! :)

Now he's just Daddy...

...sharing a tender moment with his little girl.

Alegria's not too interested in holding the M4 when he tries to have her handle it... Oh well!

Later on, Cameron and Abilehi play a game of "Speed." Alegria wants to play!

And last but not least, Cameron and I pose for the cameron. Once the baby was in bed, he and I left Abilehi at home with Alegria and he and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner to celebrate our 4-year anniversay which is on Monday!!!

What a great ending to a great day! :)

Swimming Sweetie

Today sure was a fun day! In the morning, Cameron transformed his Optimus Prime into truck form to show Alegria. She had other plans for Optimus than to push him around, so we kept a close eye on her.

While she was inspecting Optimus, I decided to take a picture of her crown swirl. I think it's so cute!

Then Cameron went out to stain some more of the fence. Alegria and I followed shortly after to watch him for a short while. Here's Alegria standing at the fence near her daddy.

She inspected the grass a little.

But she found it more funny looking than anything.

Here she is at a different part of the fence, inspecting it for weak boards.

She also tested the grass in this area as well...it got a worse rating than the first.

After Alegria's morning nap, we all got ready to go onto Fort Hood to the Patton Pool. Here's Alegria kissing her reflection in the stove.

The Patton Pool was nice. It was pretty empty, too. I'm guessing that was because we were there at 1 pm on a week day.

After Alegria had her sunblock on, it was time to get in the pool. At first, she didn't like it...

By the end of our stay, though, Alegria was LOVING it!!! You can't tell from these pictures that she was having a fun time...

But you can sure tell from this video!

I can't wait for us to go again!

Cameron's awesome!

Today Cameron did more yard work. He first stained some more of the fence. Alegria and I watched him for a little bit. Isn't Alegria cute with her little hat? She wanted to take it off at first, but once we got outside and were under the hot sun, I think she thought twice about it and left it on. :)

This one of Alegria is a little blurry, but I like it anyway.

Then Cameron mowed the lawn.

Then he trimmed the edges and swept up the mess.

Back inside, Alegria was intrigued by her snack ball.

And then she and Daddy admired Great Grandpa Ben's saddle.

From 2:20-4:20, Alegria and I took a nap. When she woke up from her nap, Daddy had a tender moment with her.

After dinner, I stayed in and cleaned up and Cameron and Alegria went for a walk to go pick up the mail. This is Alegria when they got home. She'd had tons of fun on her walk with Daddy!

Cameron is such a great husband and father! Not only does he care so well for me and Alegria, but he also gets everything done around the house that needs to get done. :) I love him so much!!!

Thanks for visiting...come back soon for updates!
