Miss Contrary

We were in Alegria's room this morning and she ASKED me to put her in her crib so she could play in it:



So I don't know why she got so upset only a few minutes later!

Later, she was trying to put her coat on all by herself:

She still hasn't mastered that skill.

And that was about all of the excitement of today. :)

Musical Tekkie

After Church and naps, we all just relaxed (Can you tell Alegria's got chocoate all around her mouth? Well...she's learned that she has Daddy wrapped around her finger...she'll ask me for candy and I'll tell her "no..." so she then immediately goes to Daddy and asks him for candy. His response when I ask, "I didn't see her all day yesterday! And she's my little girl!"):

I thought the cheese dip we were having with our chips would be too spicy for Alegria, but she saw the top on the table and tried it and loved it!

Just a few of the things we did today while Daddy was away at his funeral detail...

Played the piano:

Watched some Baby Signing Time (whilst drinking juice):

Played with blocks:

I was impressed with Alegria today...she showed me that she knows how to stack blocks pretty high (for a baby, of course!):

Then she played on Mommy and Daddy's bed with her doll:

Alegria and I had a nice day, even though we missed having Daddy around. Now she's in bed and Cameron should be home soon...so...good night!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010!!!

What a great beginning to the new year! We just spent it having fun as a family...watching football and playing with Alegria...it's all good! :)

Tomorrow Daddy has another funeral detail to go to, so we went on Post today to pick up the necessary paperwork for him. When we got back, Alegria decided it was her turn to wear Daddy's coat!

Having fun with last night's New Year's toys:



Since tomorrow's funeral detail is a small 3-man detail, Daddy got to be in charge of the bugle. Who knew he knew how to play?



Alegria gives it a shot...she's a natural! ;)

Then as I was folding laundry, Alegria tried putting on one of her onesies! I can't wait for her to be able to dress herself!

At dinner we had some leftovers from yesterday and Alegria was dipping her pizza into some ranch dressing, just like her Daddy does! How cute is that?! (Excuse the loud crunching. We'd also had some salad...and what's a salad without croutons? So that's the crunching you're hearing!)



And that was our day...football, family and fun!
