Two of a Kind

It was a beautiful morning and Alegria and I spent it playing in the front yard.

Back inside, Alegria found a fur coat in her closet that I'd hung up a while ago...she decided she wanted to try it on, even though I told her that South Texas heat and fur coats don't mix.

Have I mentioned yet that Alegria is becoming quite the climber?

Alegria is so silly, laying on top of not only Big Bear, but also the soft fur coat from earlier today! Can't blame the girl for having good taste, though!

Our Big Little Girl!

Yesterday we bought Alegria a forward-facing car seat, since she has pretty much outgrown her rear-facing one. Today on our way to Church was her first time using it. She wasn't too sure what to think of it:

Hopefully in time she'll realize how much of a better thing this forward-facing seat is! Now she can look out at the world as it whizzes by! :)

FAN-tastic!

Today Cameron finally had some free time on his hands and acquired a new skill: ceiling fan installation! Here he and Alegria are cutting the power to the three smaller bedrooms in our house so that Cameron can safely install the ceiling fans (the master bedroom and living room already had ceiling fans installed when we bought our house).

Alegria watches Daddy attentively so she can also learn this new skill:

After a while, Alegria was just getting in the way as she tried to inspect all of the tools and hardware Cameron was using, so she and I went outside:

Captain Milkbeard

Alegria CRACKS me up!!! She has plenty of toys of her own, yet she prefers Isis's toys! We were outside today and I got a hilarious video of her taking away Isis's chew toy bone, Isis taking it back, Alegria taking it away again...and so on and so forth! I wish I had had my camera on me to get a better quality video than I did on my phone, but you can still see it well enough to enjoy Alegria's antics!


I finally got her away from Isis's toys and she was so sweet and went to pick a few flowers:


Then she decided she was thirsty and needed a drink!

At dinner, I let Alegria "graduate" to drinking milk out of her cup instead of just water. She did rather well and drank her milk with much gusto! Bravo, Captain Milkbeard!!! :)

One of Alegria's new favorite pasttimes is to throw herself onto piled-up pillows:

I don't know if Alegria is cutting her molars or what, but she's been a little fussy today, so I soaked a washcloth and put it in the freezer. Here she is chewing on it:

That soothed her for a little while until Daddy came home to play. :)
