Dress Up Drama!

On our walk this morning, Alegria decided she actually wanted to walk for a bit instead of just riding her bike:

She picked some tiny wild flowers on the way:

And we checked out some roly polies:

Then we came home so that I could get ready and we could go to Playgroup!

Today we went to Allie's house. We had a delicious lunch and the kids had a fun time playing. As an added bonus, Amanda brought over some of Lacey's costumes and we had a blast getting the kids dressed up for a photo shoot!!! :)

At first, Alegria was having NONE of it!

Luckily, I was finally able to get her to cooperate and she made a very cute bunny!

Lacey was a purple cat:

Lee was a lobster, and Quinn was a baby chicken:

Even Mollie got in on the action!

Playing in Lee's little red wagon:

Quinn was playing with Alegria's hairband, so Kerri decided to put it on him to see how a little sister of his would look like!

Quinn: "Oh, the torture!"

It's agreed! She would be OH SO CUTE! :)

Back home and after a much-needed nap, we were all in a good mood for when Daddy got home from work. Here's Alegria trying on his helmet:

That sums up our day!

Have a good night!!! :)

Blinds!!!

What little girl knows how to make wild animal and car sounds? Mine!!! So cute!!!

Today we had blinds installed in our whole house. Here's a view of the kitchen ones (back door):

Windows (blinds open):

Windows (blinds closed):

I'm VERY excited to have blinds on all of our windows now!!! Not only do I feel like we have more privacy, but I'm also hoping this helps keep the house a little cooler!

Well, that's it for today folks!

Good bye! :)

Autobots...Transform!...Today...Please?

Alegria asked to play with Daddy's Transformers today (she signs "Daddy" and "car" and then points to the office because we keep them on a high shelf in there...small parts, you know, so she can only play with them when we're supervising her!)

Alegria is so well rounded, it amazed me! She loves playing with her dolls, yet she also loves animals and cars!

She also knows the cars transform, so she attempted to do it herself...

...but then needed Daddy's help! Daddy was able to get Bumblebee to transform, but it had been so long that Optimus was a whole different story!

Finally, I stepped in and kept trying and trying until I finally got it. No wonder in the movies it takes Optimus forever to transform!

Anyway. That was as exciting as it got today. :)

Good night!

Bubble Blowing Expert

It's Monday again and with it comes Story Time at the library! YAY!!! :)

Alegria again chose her favorite purple maracas and egg shakers for the goodbye parade:

I SO love that she can go around the circle during the parade all by herself now...what a big girl!!!

Afterwards, we went to the Children's area to work on our Summer Reading chart. Andrea and Josh were there, too. :) As soon as Alegria saw Josh's stroller, she wanted to get in, so we put them both in:

Finally, a tired Alegria and I came home and had a nap.

When Daddy got home from work, Alegria and he had fun blowing bubbles using the new bubbles container Alegria got as a prize for her first Summer Reading chart completion:

Alegria is getting quite good at blowing bubbles all by herself!

Have a wonderful night, everyone!!! :)

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!

We went to Church this afternoon and when we got home we had dinner. After dinner, I finished putting together Cameron's Father's Day cake. While I did so, Alegria decided that Elmo was hungry and needed to eat, too! In fact, she put him in her high chair all by herself and put his bib on and everything! Cute!

Cameron's cake was a fairly simple one today. Here's the finished product:

Cameron sporting his Father's Day gift (a Longhorns T-shirt) and Alegria eyeing the cake:

The cake was sure yummy...and well-deserved!

Thank you, Cameron, for being the best Father in the world to our little girls! Yes, I say girls, plural, because even though Odette is not born yet, Cameron still takes time to talk to her and give her kisses! :) We love you!!!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all fathers out there!!! :)

Oh Deer!

It was the day of our monthly Temple trip today, so we drove to San Antonio to attend. When we arrived, my parents were still in their session, as usual, and since Ammon and Almalia were both in Dallas with Lorelehi, we left Alegria with Moroni. I was afraid she wouldn't want to stay with her Uncle Moroni, but she did just fine!

When Cameron and I got done with our session, we found Alegria marveling at the construction vehicles on the other side of this fence:

Alegria and Abuelo:

Alegria and Daddy:

Finally, our tummies were rumbling louder than the construction vehicles and we could no longer keep them quiet, so we headed to our favorite Temple-going lunch spot, Whataburger! YUM!!!

Abuela tying a balloon to Alegria's wrist:

Saying our goodbyes:

On our way back from San Antonio, Alegria took a much-needed nap. Good thing she did, too, because we took a detour through Buda so that we could go to Cabela's!

You can't see it here, but there is a pack of wolves behind this ox, trying to hunt it down, so Alegria is signing "wolf:"

Then we headed over to the camping gear section (Cameron was in search of a camping stove for our emergency kit). At the back of that area, there is a small children's shooting range with pop guns and over it, there is a talking deer! Alegria was impressed and kept signing and saying "deer!" So cute! I didn't even know she remembered the signs for "wolf" and "deer," yet here she was, showing me that she DOES pay attention to her Signing Time videos!!! :) Smart girl!

Alegria also loved the big stuffed beer that was sitting underneath the talking deer. We got a few cute photos of her with it:

Still talking about the deer!

Pointing to the bear:

Giving the bear a big bear hug!

Then we walked around some more and Alegria found a cute little rocking chair to sit in with the stuffed animals she also found along our way:

When we got home, Alegria was not in a very good mood. I don't blame her. It's hard to take a good, restful nap in the car...AND she'd only taken a nap for about an hour, maybe an hour and a half, which is about an hour less than her usual nap, so she was tired...and threw a fit. It makes me so sad to see her so sad! But it IS funny how she'll run to her room and cry either on her bed or on the rocking chair whenever she's upset...almost like she's putting herself in a time out!

Done with her fit, Alegria helped Daddy put together the little camping stove:

Then Alegria played on her swing set while Daddy did dog doodie duty and mowed the lawn:

Alegria found a pair of her swimming diapers and tried to put them on! She did a pretty good job getting both legs in right, but because she was still wearing her clothes, she was only able to get them up so far:

It was another fun day!!! :)

Thanks for visiting...come back soon for updates!
