I Love SomeBunny!

On our way back from seeing Daddy for lunch, Alegria was tired and in a foul mood...even after I'd given her a piece of chocolate candy to bribe her to be quiet! I know, I know...I really shouldn't bribe her...and I don't usually...but it had been a long morning already...

I had to drop off some mail to Abilehi and asked if she could meet us up front for me to give it to her without having to get the baby out of the car seat...as soon as Alegria saw Abilehi, that was enough to get her in a happy mood...

...but then Abilehi surprised her with a stuffed bunny as an early Easter present! Alegria was even more happy after that!

Thank you for the bunny, Abilehi!

Getting presents is so fun! :)

Good night!

Spring Blossoms

Silly right from the beginning of the day!

Alegria enjoyed picking the "flowers" in our backyard:

Our little trees are starting to bloom! YAY!

Alegria also LOVES it when Isis licks her face. Don't ask me why, though I think it's because it tickles...I think it's gross! I've seen what Isis licks and plays with with her mouth...but...if Alegria likes it, I don't want to turn her into a dog hater, so I'll just keep tabs and make sure I wash the dog drool off of her every time we come back inside.

Alegria: "Give me five!"

Worn out:

Later on, Betony dropped off Ryan and William so she could go to an appointment. They played well together:

After they left, Alegria was exhausted and went right to sleep!

When Daddy got home that evening, he came back all bruised up from paintball! At least he had fun, though!

Alegria playing peek-a-boo with Daddy:

And that brings us to the end of the night.

Sleep well!!! :)

Another Easter Egg Hunt!

We went to Story Time at the library today as we do every Monday and it was an Easter Party! We had our usual singing and reading times:

During the reading times, Alegria prefers to go and work on her craft. I don't know why this is...she loves it when I read to her, but for some reason, she's not too keen on being read to in a big group. Weird!

During the goodbye song, Alegria chose the same pair of purple maracas that she always does and went around the circle with Andrea and Josh:

Then it was time to go hunt for Easter eggs in the Childrens' Room!

As soon as Alegria found a couple of eggs, she opened one, found a chocolate inside, and could not be swayed to continue looking for eggs:

Finally done eating her candy, I was able to persuade her to look for more eggs!

Good form, Alegria! (She tried tossing her egg in her basket.)

Unfortunately, as soon as we went to the puppet theater area, she found Big Bird and I again could not get her to look for any more eggs!

Big Bird in tow, she finally found a few more!

What a fun time! The Library ROCKS! :)

On our way out, Alegria put on a puppet show for Josh:

At home, we took naps.

After naps, we went to Wal-Mart. Alegria loves looking at the fish in the aquariums, so that was one of our first stops:

Then we got our groceries. Our last stop was the Easter section, where we got egg dyes and cups to color Easter eggs! As you can see...towards the end of our shopping trip, Alegria could no longer hold out...she just HAD to have a bagel! :)

When we got home, Alegria decided she wanted to learn how to ring the doorbell...so she figured out how to climb up to the step, hold on to the door handle, and lean over to ring it!

I came inside to show her what the doorbell was actually for:

Another fun-filled day! YAY!

And now it's off to bed to get re-energized for tomorrow!

Good night! :)

Somersault Fun!

We went to Church as usual today. :)

Back home, Alegria decided to use a dvd cover as a mask!

Then she took advantage of the fact that Daddy took the step ladder out to change a light bulb and had some climbing time!

Alegria: "I'm Queen of the World!"

She also played nap time with Purple Bear:

And she learned to do somersaults!

Alegria...we just LOVE you, LOVE you, LOVE you!!! :)

Easter Egg Hunt!

Today was the day of my first primary activity as Primary President! Needless to say, I was a little nervous of what the turnout would be and if the children would enjoy themselves.

I'm happy to say that we had a good number in attendance! There were not only lots of children there today, but there were also parents as well as teachers! I was so happy!!!

The activity started off with a short lesson on Easter. I told the Easter Story and then I had the teachers each give a short explanation of some of the symbols of Easter. After that, we had a coloring activity and then we did the chicken dance and the bunny hop! That worked up an appetite and so then we had lunch.

After lunch, all of the adults helped clean up and finally, it was time for our Easter egg hunt!

On your mark...get set...GO!

We had set up a small area for the younger children to search for eggs and then a larger area for the older kids.

After all the eggs were found, we herded everyone inside. On the way inside, Alegria found an unsuspecting bystander and tried to steal eggs from her basket! Luckily we caught her before she did the deed!

Alegria: "Oh well...it was worth a shot! You never know ifyou don't try!" ;)

Inside, we let the kids eat their Easter candy and/or color if they wanted to:

In the end, everything turned out well. I was glad it did. Phew! :) Some of the kids even told me that it was the funnest activity they'd ever been to! Yay! :)

Back home, Alegria took a nap and when she woke up, we played outside.

Then we accompanied Daddy to go doctor Cyrus.

Alegria and I waited near Cyrus's trailer for Daddy to go get him. When he approached us with Cyrus, Alegria was very happy:

Alegria signing "horse:"

Alegria signing "horse" again:

My! What big eyes you have!

Poor Cyrus! I sure hope his hooves heal up soon!

Can you guess whose shadow this is?

Alegria signing "horse" yet again! She sure loves horses!

On our way back from seeing Cyrus, we stopped by the mailbox and Alegria had gotten an Easter package from Grandma and Grandpa Marlow! Inside was a cute little Easter purse and chocolate! Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa!

Mmm! Yummy!

And messy, too!

At the end of the night, Daddy put another coat of dark varnish on a frame he made for his painting:

And that was our day!

Good night!:)

Thanks for visiting...come back soon for updates!
