Garden Tea Party!

This morning, Daddy mowed the yard while Alegria and I played "peek-a-boo" from her swing:

Adventuresome Allie!

Later, Daddy and Alegria went to go see Cyrus:

In the meantime, I made some banana bread in my breadmaker:

Once the breadmaker was going and Alegria was in bed, I headed over to Andrea's house for a Garden Tea Party! Well...we didn't actually drink tea, but aside from that, it was so proper and delectable that the Queen of England herself could have come over and been quite at home! The fare was delicious! We had cucumber sandwiches, chicken salad sandwiches, ham wraps, and a large variety of sweets, from lemony poppyseed finger cakes to individual-sized molten chocolate lava cakes!

We ladies had a wonderful time chatting and basking in the sun...in fact, some got sunburned! Ouch! But it was well worth it! We hadn't a care in the world as we enjoyed Andrea's wonderful hospitality.

At the end of the party, we each got to take home a bouquet of flowers (we'd each brought a bouquet to exchange) AND Andrea surprised us all and gave us a tea cup and saucer to take home as well. Andrea's parties are always wonderful and make us feel so special! Thanks for the party, Andrea!!! :) Here's a picture of our group (I'm in the red hat):

Back home, Alegria was up from her nap and we just relaxed.

When it was time for dinner, Cameron fired up the grill:

Here's a picture of the beautiful bouquet and tea cup I came home with:

And here's the banana bread, all done!!! :)

Let me tell you...the banana bread was yummy!!! :)

After dinner, it was clean-up time and Alegria did her fair share:

What an awesome day! :)

Watergirl

Today Alegria and I just chilled until the evening, when we met up with Abilehi and Sister Black to practice a song that Abilehi and I will be singing at a Young Single Adult fireside on the 17th. While we waited for Abilehi and Sister Black to show up, Alegria practiced her scales and her arpeggios:

Back home, Alegria helped Daddy water the trees.........or did she? ;)

Some fun videos of Alegria's helpfulness:

What a day!!! :)

Playgroup at Tasha's

We had a fun time at Tasha's today for Playgroup...

...even though there were a few sharing issues!

The many hats of Alegria!

And the many pranks! She decided it would be funny to put a rubber ball down Quinn's shirt!

Alegria loves puppies! Chewy is no exeption! :)

Thursdays are always fun!!!

Poor Dolly!

Had to get a picture of Alegria's Easter egg before she had it for a snack this morning!

I don't know what her obsession is, but she's always emptying out all of our DVD cases! I'm tired of cleaning this mess up, so I think we'll have to move them "one drawer higher."

Playing in an empty diaper box:

As Alegria was playing with her little girl baby doll this evening, the arm broke off (it was a cheap one we got at the Dollar General). She was visibly upset, pointing at the broken arm, putting her little hand up to her mouth in distress, and saying "Oh-oh!" So I quickly hid it from her as she was distracted while I got her ready for bed.

Luckily, Daddy was at mutual and so I quickly called him up and asked him to go buy another one on his way home. Daddy got home just in time! I was rocking Alegria and he walked in with the new doll in tow and handed it to her. Alegria was very happy...and somewhat confused, too! She kept looking at the arm that had been broken and then looking up at me with a quizzical glance as if to say, "I thought it was broken!" So I kept telling her that Daddy fixed her doll. Daddy...the man who does it all! :)

Once Alegria was in bed, I came out to find Cameron with the broken doll...and I don't know, it must just be a guy thing, but he proceeded to dismember the poor thing! (I won't post that picture for those who are faint of heart!) To throw it away would have been sufficient, I think, but I guess...when would he have the opportunity to do something like that again? Oh well! Boys will be boys!

Good night! :)

Who Says Girls Can't Fix Cars?

Alegria decided to hide her little purple bear in her shirt this morning:

And got into her medicine drawer:

In the evening, we went to a Family Readiness Group (FRG) meeting on post.

Back home, we played!

Alegria discovered the joys of twirling on a swing:

Here she's telling me that Isis kissed her on the mouth!

Helping Daddy fix the brake lights on the truck:

Alegria wanting to mow the lawn!

And playing on the front seat of the car:

We had a busy evening today!

Story Time Fun!

We had a fun time at Story Time at the Library today. We made a craft:

...and of course, Alegria's favorite part...the Goodbye Song! Not because Story Time is over, because she loves it, but because she gets to walk around the room following the leader and shaking her maracas! She ALWAYS chooses these purple ones...and sometimes, like today, she loads up on some other instrument, too!

Back home, eating a churro from Taco John's...YUM!

Later on, Daddy was watering the trees, and Alegria decided to help, but instead she just watered herself!

It was a fun day! :)

Thanks for visiting...come back soon for updates!
