Little Faker!!!

I was too tired and decided that I will slowly get my sleeping habits in working order so that I can, starting next Monday, get my workouts in  early in the morning before getting the girls up...because you know you can't start a workout on a day other than a Monday...  ;)

We DID stay true to form and went on our walk again.  That, coupled in with jogs on my elliptical in the evening are a good start to working out again, I think.  :)

Anyway.  At the playground, we had lots of fun, as usual.  Odette likes me to swing her WAAAAAY up high on the swing...

...while Alegria likes me to push her low and slow:

Making a "birthday cake" and then singing to each other and "blowing out the candle."

On our way back home, I got a picture of the "Marshall House."  I can't tell you why it's important, I can't remember, but either way, here's a picture of it...just because I felt like taking it.  :)

I had to drop off Alegria's updated shot records today, so we went to her school early and went through the front office.  It didn't take us long, so we chilled for a bit in Alegria's classroom while we waited for her teacher to pick the kids up from the back entrance of the school and for the teaching assistant to pick other kids up from the bus.  Alegria and Odette had fun chasing each other on the alphabet rug:

Back home, I thought it would be nice if Odette and I napped together on my bed.  Yeah...that didn't happen.  Hahaha!  But it was ok.  Today was Alegria's short day at school (only an hour and 45 minutes of class), so for that time period, Odette and I snuggled and cuddled and tickled and were silly and just plain enjoyed some quality her and me time!  :)

She pretended to sleep at one point...but it would have been more believable if she'd closed her eyes!!!  The little faker!!!  HAHAHA!!!

When trying to nap didn't work, we tried to learn:

She found my Nook on my night stand and wanted to play games on it, so I let her...and when it was close to the time to go pick Alegria up and I had to change her diaper, it was so funny to see that she just went right on playing!  Hahaha!

Silly Baby!!!

Once we got home, I put Odette down for a nap.  This time she actually went to sleep.  :)

Mondays are my laundry days, but since yesterday I was not yet "back" to reality with it being our first day without Cameron, it wasn't until today that I did laundry...and I decided to have Alegria help me sort the laundry!  She did really well!  I need to have her help me more often!!!  :)

That's not my sock...it's hers!!!  Haha!  :)

While the laundry was washing, Alegria and I went to the back and I watched Alegria jump on the trampoline for a little while.  I guess I could have jumped with her, but the sensation of jumping on the trampoline just makes my bladder feel weird!  Maybe it's from having had two kids already...I don't know...

When Odette woke up, the girls each drew a picture for Daddy:

Another day without Daddy has passed and we're one day closer to having him back home with us!!!

I decided to let Odette mark the day off of the calendar on her own...

Good job, Odette!  :)

We love you, Daddy!!!  :)

Good night, All!  :)

First Day Sans Daddy

I tried my best to get us right back on a routine today.  We'd kind of gotten off of a routine while Daddy had been home prior to Ranger School (a mini vacation of sorts!)...sleeping in, eating out...you know the drill...

But because when Cameron is gone I tend to stay up a LOT later than usual, I failed at getting up to work out to my Supreme 90 Day workout DVDs this morning, but I did manage to get the energy to take us all out for our morning walk.

At the designated spot, I let the girls out of the stroller and they walked the rest of the way to the playground.  Aren't they the sweetest little things?!  I didn't even ask them to hold hands for a picture!!!

When we went to drop Alegria off to school, we were a little bit early, so the girls played quietly while we waited for Alegria's teacher to come and get her (and the other kids that trickled in to the back of the school near the entrance to the pre-k room):

You may not be able to tell, but today was mismatch day at Alegria's school.  As much as I tried to get her to mismatch today, I've trained her so well by now that when I gave her mismatched clothes this morning, she specifically told me, "Momma, that don't match!"  (I know, I know...we're working on her grammar...!)  So the best I could do was to have her wear a shirt and pant that are both parts of separate matching sets...together...but the mismatching is just not that obvious, what with them being the same color blue!  She wouldn't even let me put a hot pink bow in her hair to make it look like I tried!!!  Oh well!  :)

Odette had JUST woken up when we went to pick Alegria up...can you tell by the look she's giving the camera (me)?  Hahaha!

The rest of the day was uneventful.

And at the end of the night, after the girls had had their bath, we did our countdown again, this time Alegria crossed off the day and Odette removed a bead:

Ranger School Day 1: done.

Bonne nuit, tout le monde!!!

P.S.  "Sans" is "without" in French.  And the sentence right above this one means, "Good night, everyone" in French as well.  :)

Ranger School: Day 0

Since Daddy was going to be heading off to Ranger School today, Odette insisted that Daddy get a checkup!

When she was satisfied that he was healthy as a horse, she gave him the "all clear" and we took a few pictures with Daddy and got some tight hugs to last us through Ranger School:

Then we played!

Daddy's friend showed up and we went outside to see Daddy off:

One more hug and kiss!!!

Bye-bye, Daddy!!!  We miss you already!!!  Good luck and we'll see you soon!!!

And just like that, Daddy was gone for Day 0 of his Ranger School experience.  We'll be praying for him to stay healthy and strong and to do well!!!

After yelling, "Bye-bye, Daddy!  We love you!" even long after Daddy was gone, Alegria, Odette and I decided to stay outside.  It was a beautiful day!

Not long after that, our little friend, Camille, from across the street, came over to play:

Playing with the stones got a little boring after a while, so I ushered all three of the girls in and they had a fun time playing with Alegria and Odette's toys.

An hour passed quickly and Camille's dad came to get her.  I fed Allie and Odie some lunch and then put Odette down for a nap.

While Odette napped, I brought out Alegria's water colors and she enjoyed painting for quite a while:

The rest of the night we just relaxed and played and colored.

At the end of the night, we started counting down the days until Daddy comes home.  I had prepared a Homecoming Countdown Jar with 62 beads in it.  Alegria was the first to remove a bead from the jar and place it on a ribbon...to be made into a Homecoming Necklace to place around Daddy's neck on the day of his homecoming.

Odette was the first to cross off the day on our calendar.  I cheated a little...I helped her draw the "X" on today's date square, but I did have her point to the day to get a picture...

These cute girls sure do love each other and their Daddy!!!

The Homecoming Countdown Jar (with a picture of Daddy and his two angels on our hike in Providence Canyon), the Homecoming Ribbon Necklace, and our calendar:

I tied a yellow ribbon on the jar to symbolize our waiting for our beloved husband and father to return.

And now it's off to bed...

Good night everyone!!!

Thanks for visiting...come back soon for updates!
