The Outback Redemption

Back in Montana, Cameron and I first went to the Outback Steakhouse for our anniversary one year. We loved it! The Bloomin' Onion was awesome and the rest of the food was great, too! Well...the next couple of times we went, we were disappointed...we don't know why the food wasn't as good anymore, but we decided not to go there again.

At one of Cameron's work Christmas parties last month, we happened to win a gift certificate to none other than...the Outback Steakhouse!

So...on Abilehi's birthday we decided to go out to dinner to the Outback as a family.

I must say, the Outback totally redeemed itself! The Bloomin' Onion was so good that I was sad that even Alegria liked it because there was less to go around! And all of us had such good meals that we were all STUFFED by the time we left!

Alegria was happy to be out to a real sit-down restaurant for dinner...what a treat!

The warm bread and butter they first brought out to us was delicious!

And so was the Bloomin' Onion!

This was the first time Alegria had a drink with a straw that didn't have a lid on it. She discovered that she could lift the straw and that said straw would still have a little lemonade on it for her drinking pleasure...

...and much to Daddy's DISpleasure! She kept spilling some of her drink on the table, herself, and Daddy, so he took it away, which made Alegria upset, so we tried to get her attention on other things while we waited for our food:

The Birthday Girl!

On our way home, I was trying to secretly text our friends Andrea and Kim so that they would know to come to our house to celebrate Abilehi's birthday with us and have some cake, but Cameron kept teasing me about how much I was texting Andrea and I was afraid Abilehi would suspect something. Thank goodness she didn't figure it out!

Anyway. We didn't have to wait too long until Kim and Jace and Andrea showed up.



And then it was time to cut the cake!

Abilehi got to take a huge bite out of the first piece of cake:

TOTAL death by chocolate!

It was SOOO good! Triple Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, chocolate ganache and coarsely chopped Symphony bars on top!!!

Alegria and Jace had fun playing together again. They hadn't seen each other in a few long months!

Jace chased Alegria around trying to give her kisses!

After everyone left, Abilehi packed up all of her gifts and even had Andrea help her with some out to her car! What a spoiled woman! ;)
