Garter Girl

This afternoon we went to Church as usual. I had a short meeting with the Primary teachers after Church, so it's a good thing it was a beautiful day out because Alegria got to show Grandma and Grandpa the Church grounds while they waited.

On their way back to the car when I was finally done, Grandma and Grandpa swung Alegria up in the air and she LOVED that!

Back home, Alegria hung out with Daddy, Grandpa, and Isis while Grandma and I got dinner ready.

By the way, don't you think Alegria's little dress is cute? Grandma bought it for Alegria and gave it to her last night, so she got to wear her new outfit to Church today! It actually came with a pair of red pants, but since it got warm as the day progressed, Daddy had taken the pants off of her while I was in my meeting.

Alegria being silly:

Alegria was playing with a bracelet of mine and all of a sudden, since she was being quiet, we looked over to where she was...and she had put the bracelet around her thigh! TOO CUTE!!! It looks like a garter on her!

After dinner, we all hopped in Grandma's car and drove onto the training fields of Fort Hood. Daddy showed us some mock villages that they train in:

Alegria was happy that we let her ride in the car without being restrained to her car seat. Since it was all dirt roads and vacant of any other vehicles and we weren't going very fast or far from home, we decided that this was ok. That's right...not far from home. The Fort Hood training fields are literally in our back yard!

When we returned home, we hung out in the front yard for a little while. We walked up and down the sidewalk and Daddy let Alegria pick up a little orange flag from a neighbor's yard. I never let her do that when she and I go on walks, so she was quite happy of her victory:

Then we hung out inside for the rest of the night.
