Proactive Pyro

We don't have stairs at home, so having stairs to climb at Grandma and Grandpa's is a real treat...for Alegria! Me, I'm still a little on edge every time she's near them. I'm teaching her how to go down them on her bottom (going up them is a breeze!), but sometimes she just doesn't want to go down that way as she is in this picture:

Once Grandma and Grandpa were gone to work, Alegria and I played downstairs and watched some TV. While we were down in the nice, toasty family room (Grandpa had built us a fire before he left), Alegria decided it was too warm to continue to wear her PJs!

And then she proceeded to watch TV in just her diaper...AND sucking on a doll's pacifier!!!

Finally, we went upstairs and got ready for the day. As soon as I opened up the bedroom door, Alegria bolted out of my room and into her room (we're sleeping in separate bedrooms so that if I have to get up in the middle of the night to empty my bladder as most pregnant women tend to do, I won't wake her up). She was happy to find a Moose stuffed animal to play with:

Good job going down the stairs on your bum, Alegria!

We took a nap in the afternoon and that evening when Grandma and Grandpa got home from work, Alegria got to help Grandpa build another fire:

Then we went and played outside. Grandma and Grandpa have a lot of land for Alegria to run in and a lot of times I find myself catching the tail end of our little girl rounding the corner without me! She's too fast for me...and she knows it!

I always breathe a sigh of relief when Grandpa is able to corral her in to help him with the sheep so that I can catch my breath!

Alegria has an obsession with cars. She just loves playing in them...and Grandma's car is no exception! Grandma helped her in...and even gave her a lipstick to play with while she pretended to be a big girl and drive...don't you go applying makeup while driving when the time comes to really be behind the wheel, Alegria!

After a long day of work and play, we all came inside. Alegria and I headed upstairs and got ready for bed, a picture of Daddy from Grandma's wall of family pictures in tow...

...I think we'll keep Daddy's picture upstairs with us to see him and kiss him every morning and every night!

It was another lovely day!
