Today before General Conference, Alegria and I accompanied Abilehi to Wal-Mart to buy a few things for Abilehi's new apartment. We found a nice glass-top and black metal frame table on clearance for only $60! What a deal! It's a good thing we kept the truck and Cameron took the car to work. We were able to bring the table home with us. :)
When we got back, Andrea and Little Josh were waiting for us. Big Josh was also at work, so it was just us ladies (and Little Josh) watching General Conference today. Unfortunately, though we had been told General Conference was going to be shown on TV, we were unsuccessful at finding the correct channel. We ended up piling into the office to watch it. It's a good thing you can restart Conference when watching it online! :)
During the afternoon session, Big Josh came over since he actually got out of work early. We all enjoyed Conference even though it was quite the task trying to get the little ones to stay still and quiet! :)
After Conference, Alegria and I went to go see Daddy at work. We had dinner at Charley's (YUM, YUM!) and just chilled with Daddy for the hour he had to eat.
On our way home, Alegria and I met Abilehi at Wal-Mart to pick up a few more things that we hadn't had time to get earlier today.
Finally, we came home...by then, Alegria needed a snack before heading off to bed.
Alegria has discovered the joy of dunking! She tries to dunk her dinner in her milk sometimes, but that's gross, so I've compromised and let her dunk her vanilla wafers in her milk as long as she doesn't dunk any bologna or pasta in it.
Alegria loves the roses hanging from the dining room chandelier light. Today I decided to let her get up close and investigate some:When we got back, Andrea and Little Josh were waiting for us. Alegria: "Look at how tall I am, Mommy! I can almost touch them!"
Then it was time to get ready for bed. Cameron has staff duty today (Staff duty is when he stays on Post for a 24-hour shift to "stand watch" and do inspections and such. His shift today started at 9 am and will end tomorrow at 9 am.), so I took over the bedtime ritual.
My plan as far as the potty training goes is that for right now, I'll just sit her on the potty before nap time and bed time and when she wakes up in the morning and when she wakes up from her nap. Whenever she actually goes in the potty, I'll praise her so she knows it's a good thing and then we'll go from there and see when she decides she wants to do it on her own.
Here's Alegria sitting on the potty. She doesn't look very happy, but I think it's because Abilehi was watching her and taking pictures:

So Alegria closed the door on her!
Alegria: "Potty time is private time!"
Alegria: "Potty time is private time!"
Alegria actually doesn't mind the potty, though. She gets to play with her tub toys while she's on the potty and I don't leave her on there very long since it's just for her to get used to the idea, so she's usually happy on there. I really think she just didn't like Abilehi looking in on her! Too funny that she's already so aware of things like that! :)
Well, that's about it for today.
Good night!!!
